Repair of commutator electric motors is one of the many services provided by our workshop. We accept orders for urgent, current and major repairs of electric motors, including rewinding the armature and stator, restoring the commutator and other elements of crane, traction, elevator and other types of electric motors.

The main functional units of a commutator electric motor are the armature and the stator. They both have their own windings, to which electric current is supplied when the engine is running. The need to rewind the commutator motor occurs in the event of the following winding faults:

  • turn-to-turn short circuit;
  • short circuit to housing;
  • turn breaks;
  • decrease in insulation resistance as a result of wear, damage.

Most often, in the event of a breakdown, rewinding of the collector electric stator is required. engine, since the malfunction is most likely to occur there. This is a complex set of works, but it ensures full restoration of the machine’s functionality with minimal financial costs for this case. The price of rewinding even both functional units (armature and stator) is lower than the price of a new electric motor. Moreover, after a high-quality overhaul of commutator electric motors has been carried out, the customer receives a machine no less reliable than a new one.

Repair of commutator electric motors

Rewinding of the commutator motor is performed:

  • with the preservation or restoration of the original technical characteristics (corresponding to a specific model);
  • with the preservation of the current technical characteristics (if the motor was previously rewound according to a new circuit);
  • with a change in technical characteristics by calculating a new stator winding.

In order to rewind a commutator motor, first the old winding is completely removed along with the remaining insulation. Next, the winding is calculated based on remote criteria, or based on the customer’s wishes regarding new technical characteristics of the machine. The determining factors when rewinding the collector electric stator. engine are the dimensions of the magnetic circuit, the number of turns in it, the cross-section of the conductor used.

Next, rewinding of the commutator motor is carried out by preparing the coils according to the template and placing them in the pre-prepared slots of the stator. The installation process is carried out taking into account the appropriate scheme. Once the circuit is fully laid, connected and insulated, the stator winding is impregnated to achieve the required insulation characteristics.

If necessary, in addition to the stator of the commutator electric motor, the armature is also rewinded using approximately the same principle (regarding the preparation of current-carrying coils, their placement strictly according to the diagram, soldering and subsequent impregnation). In this case, disassembling or removing the collector from the shaft is not required, which greatly simplifies the task.

The specialists of our company easily cope with the task of rewinding the collector electric stator. engine of any model and guarantee the high quality of their work. After repair, each machine is subjected to mandatory testing to confirm its reliability and safety of further operation.

Frequently asked questions

The repair time depends on the type: routine repair takes 1-2 days, rewinding takes 3-7 days, and overhaul takes 7-14 days. For urgent orders we work around the clock, and most jobs are completed within 1-3 days.

Yes. We provide a written warranty for all types of work: from 6 months for routine repairs up to 12 months for overhauls and rewinding. The warranty covers factory defects and errors in the repair performed.

Yes. We repair electric motors from any manufacturer — local (AIR, 4A, DAZO) and imported (ABB, Siemens, WEG, Mitsubishi and others). We use original spare parts or high-quality analogues.

Yes, an on-site visit by a diagnostic engineer is available in Tashkent and the Tashkent region. We will assess the motor's condition, perform initial diagnostics and draw up a work plan. The cost of the visit is discussed separately.

In most cases, repair costs 2-4 times less than buying a new motor of similar power. This is especially true for motors above 7.5 kW. See our article "Rewinding or a new motor" for a detailed comparison.

After the repair you receive: a certificate of completed work, a warranty card, and a post-repair test report (insulation resistance, no-load current, RPM). All documents can be handed over to your accounting department for asset registration.
