Our company carries out routine repairs of electric motors. Its distinctive feature is the ability to repair the engine at the installation site. This is important if it is difficult to completely dismantle and transport the unit for repairs. If there are no such restrictions, it is better to carry out current repairs of the electric motor in a special workshop equipped with the necessary measuring instruments and technological equipment.
The frequency of rewinding an electric motor, its repair and restoration is determined by the operating conditions, the design of the electric motor, the requirements of the preventive maintenance system (PPR) and is on average once every two years. Electric motors of various types are widely used as power units as part of industrial equipment, in public utilities, in transport, and in household devices.
In the workshops of the PromElectroRemont company the following repairs are carried out:
- explosion-proof,
- explosive,
- high-voltage,
- general purpose industrial electric motors.
We carry out restoration of brushless asynchronous (single-phase and three-phase) and synchronous motors. We can also repair DC electric motors.
Features of current repair
In general, current repairs of an electric motor begin with a general inspection. Before this, it is cleaned with a brush and rags to remove dust, oil, and dirt. After this, the components of the unit are dismantled, disassembled and inspected (defective). In asynchronous AC motors, special attention is paid to checking the insulation resistance of the working stator windings (and starting windings for single-phase ones), and the state of the squirrel-cage rotor. In synchronous ones, the rotor excitation winding and its power supply circuits are additionally checked.
In DC motors, the condition of the commutator contact group is inspected and the brush-commutator mechanism is serviced (repaired). Most of the damage to this critical unit can be eliminated during routine repairs of the electric motor.
For electric motors of all types, check the lubrication of the bearings, the condition of the bearing seats and shaft, the fan, casing elements, and fastenings. They repair the terminal box, terminals, and damaged sections of the winding. After all faults have been eliminated, the electric motor is reassembled. Tests are carried out at idle and under rated load. Their duration and order are regulated by the technical documentation for a specific unit model, taking into account actual operating conditions.
Medium repair of electric motors
Like current, medium repairs of electric motors are carried out in a repair shop. In exceptional cases (difficult to dismantle or transport), it is carried out at the installation site of the electric power unit. During the process of average repair of an electric motor, work is carried out in the scope of the current one. In addition to them, the following technological repair operations are carried out:
- washing, impregnation, drying, varnishing of windings;
- alignment of gaps, grooving the shaft if necessary;
- restoration of bearing seats;
- replacement of flange gaskets.
The components of ballast control equipment (relays, thermal protection) are checked, adjusted and restored. After assembly and bench testing, the repaired product is finished painted.
The cost of current and medium repairs of electric motors and the price of components can be found in the price list.
